Located in the ever-expanding Liberties area, just a 10 minute walk from the front door of the Drury Court Hotel, Teeling Whiskey is an innovative distillery, building on centuries of historical distilling.

Walter Teeling, the fore-father of the current generation of Teeling distillers, originally had a craft distillery in Dublin 8 in 1792. In 2015, Teeling was the first of the “new” Dublin distilleries- being the first opened in over 125 years. 

Their commitment to changing the face of Irish whiskey has won them numerous accolades and makes for a varied and interesting tour and tasting experience. The Teeling distillers play around with a number of factors, including the time, style and number of barrels used for each batch: what is never compromised is the resulting flavour. The distillery avoids the more commercially used option of chill filtration, allowing the character and undertones of the whiskey to shine through. 

The founding brothers are still very involved to this day- and Teeling family members have been known to join in, or even lead, the tours offered, meaning the founding ethos is always closely felt.
